Explain Web 3.0

Web 3.0 is something called the Semantic Web, a term coined by Tim Berners-Lee, the man who invented the (first) World Wide Web. In essence, the Semantic Web is a place where machines can read Web pages much as we humans read them, a place where search engines and software agents can better troll the Net and find what we're looking for.

Conrad Wolfram has argued that Web 3.0 is where "the computer is generating new information", rather than humans.

Web 3.0 is the first-generation Metaverse (convergence of the virtual and physical world), a web development layer that includes TV-quality open video, 3D simulations, augmented reality, human-constructed semantic standards, and pervasive broadband, wireless, and sensors.

Web 3.0's early geosocial (Foursquare, etc.) and augmented reality (Layar, etc.) webs are an extension of Web 2.0's participatory technologies and social networks (Facebook, etc.) into 3D space. Of all its metaverse-like developments.

Web 3.0's most defining characteristic will be the mass diffusion of NTSC-or-better quality video to TVs, laptops, tablets, and mobile devices, a time when "the internet swallows the television.

What is Communication Convergence?

Communication took place with the arrival of digital technology. The advent of internet caused an upheaval i the world of Information flow. The three mode of communication are the written word, voice and the pictures. The above three used different technologies for imparting communication.

Remarkable thing created by digital technology is to used a single medium for recording all these three mode of communication.

International Telecommunication Union (ITU) defines convergence as the povision of digital communication services - including text, data, image and video over existing infrastructure.

Mobile phone is an example of convergence in media.
